Haythorn on Chaplaincy Education

Trace Haythorn, Executive Director of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, recently published an article in Windows, the magazine of Austin Seminary. In “Educating for Chaplaincy,” Haythorn calls for more research into effective spiritual care while laying out the reality of demographic shifts in American religious belief today. While healthcare chaplains see these shifts in their everyday lives, Haythorn’s article helps make sure that training institutions know where the greatest needs are and can respond accordingly. Transforming Chaplaincy is grateful that Dr. Haythorn is also working on the Assessing + Reimaging Project, funded by the Luce Foundation and featured by Transforming Chaplaincy here.
