The 2019 APC Conference “Outside the Lines: Expanding Boundaries” is accepting abstracts through September 7. on Medicine and Religion is now accepting abstracts. The event will take place June 20-23 at the Orlando – Hilton Lake Buena Vista.

The 2019 Conference Education Subcommittee invites submission of proposals for Professional Development Intensives (eight and four hour) and 90 Minute Workshops for our 2019 Annual Conference, June 20-23 at the Orlando – Hilton Lake Buena Vista. 

The 2019 conference theme is Outside the Lines: Expanding Boundaries. Our goals at the 2019 annual conference will be to expand boundaries in Self Care, in Client Care, in Institutional Care and in Community Care. We encourage you to share your expertise, inspire colleagues, stimulate thoughtful discussion and educate others on important issues within institutional chaplaincy.

We hope to receive proposals for educational offerings including: 

• New and creative ways for chaplains to collaborate with interdisciplinary partners

• Implications of innovative quality-improvement projects

• Next steps in evidence-based chaplaincy, in practice and theory

• Research or pilot projects testing new services in new settings

• Addressing spiritual care needs in non-acute care settings 

• Reflect the theme and objectives of the conference

We also want proposals that recognize, engage and expand the diversity within our field.
