Allison has over 17 years of healthcare experience as both a physical therapist and Board Certified Chaplain.

Most recently, Allison served as a chaplain and bereavement coordinator at Hospice House and Support Care of Williamsburg. While an MPH in Epidemiology student at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Medicine, she pursued her research interests in how evidence-based spiritual care assists not only chaplains with promoting their work as part of an integrated team of healthcare professionals, but also other religious and lay persons to access supportive, customized spiritual support during patient illness when customized care is a crucial part of hospitalizations. Her Master’s capstone was “Development and Evaluation of the Affirmation, Intervention, Restoration “AIR” Cart for Double Duty Caregiver Support.”
