The Rev. Marta Dabis, MS, MBA, PBCC (Cohort 2)

Marta is a Zen priest, trained at the San Francisco Zen Center and ordained in the lineage of Soto Zen.

She earned her MS in Mathematics, Computer Science and Economics at the University of Szeged, Hungary. Additionally, she holds an MBA in Human Resources Management and International Business from Oakland University. After a successful career as a management consultant with Accenture, for the past five years Dabis served hospital patients of all faith and no faith at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center, at Yale-New Haven Hospital, and at four hospitals of Trinity Health in Southeast Michigan. Rev. Dabis is pursuing her MPH at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Her research focuses on what to teach to the next generation of healthcare chaplains in the context of our changing society, learning about inequalities of access to spiritual care, and studying how people who are not formally religious benefit from spiritual care.
